| Abstract | ||
| This study was designed to determine the efficacy oftriple and quadruple therapyfor_. the treatment of peptic urcer disease. Seventy five patients underw#Helicobacter Pylori associated peptic ulcer ,as determined by endoscopy and rapidurease test of biopsy were participaled in this study. They were dividedio 4 groups.Three of them were treated with tdple therapy. The tripie therapy in the rrrsi gro'ufconsisted of omprazole 20 mg BID + amoxicillin 500 mg eID + metronidazoli SObmg TID . For the second group , only omprazole was replaced by ranitidine 150 mgBID , while for the third group metronidazole was replacid by clarithromycin 500;;BID . Atl triple therapies were given for 2 weeks. However, for the fourth g-up , i quadruple therapy consisted of omprazole 20mg BID + amoxicillin soom! qro'+clarithromycin 500mg BID * metronidazole 500mg TID, was given for oie week.The efficacy. in the four groups, was 91.3, gg.g9, 90, and l0d% respectively.
