| Abstract | ||
| Rice is considered one of the most important crops in Iraq as it occupies the first rank of summer crops in Iraq. In spite of this importance the pattern the pattern of this crops cultivation is still lagging behind. The aim of this research is to trace the effect of price on paddy production. The research had arrived to the following results:- 1. The weak relationship between price and cultivated area with paddy. 2. The weak relationship between production and cultivated area. 3. The increase in price by thousand ID per ton would increase the paddy production by 0.06 of significance. 4. The rise in paddy price during the study period was one of the encouraging reasons to increase cultivated area by farmers, but domestic production quantity was less than the present level. | ||
