Abstract
We have led the recent developments in Europe, and specifically what happened from rejecting the European Constitution by France and the Netherlands in 2005, to discuss deeply about the future of the European Union. That these developments, no doubt, is an indication of lack of trust towards greater political integration in Europe. There is a danger that the progress towards political union can be stopped or if this union can begin to retreat, that it took this fresh debate about the link between the unity of the Union political and monetary union, two schools of thought have emerged in this regard. According to the school first, the EU can not succeed over the long term without a strong political union among the members of the European Union. As it seems clear that this school is based on historical arguments in support of the premise. Where refers to monetary unions that were not included for political union is strong. But according to the school of second thoughts, the degree of political unity, where he arrived the EU is sufficient to ensure the success of monetary union in the long term. According to this view, the euro area can be successful even if you did not become the EU a federal state like the United States government.
