| Abstract | ||
| Law no. 56 for the year 2004 has granted the Central Bank of Iraq status of independence. Clause (2) of second article has defined that the Central Bank of Iraq should enjoy independence for its effort in order to achieve its objectives. This bank has become independent by its tools and it has no longer been the financial leverage to finance the budget deficit similar to what was happening through the last two periods of years to meet the needs of public outlay in the way that has led to strike public outlay in the way that has led to strike the stability elements of macroeconomic , deterioration of the growth, and deflection of investment opportunities, This raises the question about the extent to which the monetary authority has been successful in using new tools (indirect) and about the transitions aspects that have been witnessed by the monetary policy in Iraq through the current stage. the monetary authority in Iraq has encountered, significant challenges through current stage in the process of achieving the economic and financial stability and promoting development in an accelerating pace. | ||
