Abstract
Money Laundering presents the problem of this research to find the answer to the following question:What is the meaning of Money Whiting ? What is the deference between Money Laundering and Money Whiting? What is the nature of activities that lead to Money Laundering and their economic consequences? How can the banks be manipulated in Money Laundering operations? What are the plans of banks to discover and fight back Money Laundering operations? What are the Iraqi laws and the Iraqi banking procedures to resist this phenomenon? The goal of this research is identifying the concept of Money Laundering, the nature of its activities, and its economic consequences as well as to determining who they can use banks in Money Laundering, determining banks plans to face and limit this phenomenon, Besides, it aims to identify the Iraqi laws and banking activities for limiting this phenomenon. In order to achieve the aim of the study, the research had been divided into five suctions: the first was devoted to expose the methodology of the research. The second were devoted to expose the steps of Money Laundering and its relation to Money Whiten. The third suction was devoted to expose who can manipulate banks in Money Laundering and how banks can limit it. The forth suction was devoted to study Iraqi laws and the Iraqi banking institution policies that aim to limit Money Laundering operations. Finally, a number of recommendations have been stated on the light of the conclusions we had achieved.
