| Abstract | ||
| In this study , an analytical study was done to indicate the characteristics of industrial sewage which produced from Tannery Factories , and their effects on Tigris River . This study was continuoued over a period of one year . Many tests were conducted such as (TDS , TSS , DO , PH , BOD , TH , CL , NO3 , PO4 , S ) by using chemical methods. Results showed that some of the pollution parameters such as TDS , BOD have effects on char of Tigris River with monthly increased about 69% , 80% respectively. These ratios had reached max. values at summer and autumn seasons .While other parameters does not exceeds the max. permissible limits . Researchers suggested to control the quality of sewage produced from the Tannery Factories , must be arranged the using of chemical compounds in processes of soaking and fleshing the hides also used an ion exchanging units to control the value of TDS . | ||
