Effect of GA3 , NAA and polyethylene on storability of eggplant fruits | ||

| Abstract | ||
| Abstract. Fruits of eggplant were picked after 7 days of flower settees on 1/6 / 2010 , immersed in GA3 , NAA 250 mg / L for anther , fruits packaging with polyethylene 30mm and 60mm in thickness alone or in combination with immersed with GA3 and NAA . Fruits of the above treatments were stored at 12°C temperature and 85 – 90 % relative humidity for 10 days . Results showed that fruits of treatments with GA3 , NAA and packaging with polyethylene high and low density and their interactions caused a significant decrease percentage in weight loss , total decay , respiration rate , and a significant increase in firmness, color and teast values at the end of the storage period compared to control treatment . Fruits were treated with GA3 and packaging with polyethylene high density gave the best results . | ||
