Influence of Plowing System on zea maize production and some soil characteristics | ||

| Abstract | ||
| Field experiment was conducted in autumn season 2006 in order to study the effect of three types of plowers ( mold board , chisel , and disk ) and three system of plowing ( one time , two vertical time , and three times ) on some soil characteristic and yield of corn variety ( bihooth 106 ) , The results showed : Significant differences between the type of plow to increase the weight diameter rate, the chisel plow incresse the value of weight diameter rate , while the disc plow decrease the value of bulck density, also our result indicated no significant differences between plow on soil moisture content . Positive significant of ( two verticle times plowing ) to increase weight diameter rate of soil ,while no significant on bulk density and soil moisture content. The result showed no significant differences between plowers in affecting germination rate , but the chisel plow increase significantly plant length, rows numberLear, and total yield , while two times vertical plowing increase yield characteristics and quantity | ||
