| The assessment of optical focusing systems with square pupil suffering from spherical and coma aberration are performed by use of a novel technique for the computation of the irradiance distribution along the optical axis. Several numerical results illustrating the behaviour of such aberrated system are presented and features of these results are discussed. | ||
