| Abstract | ||
| The present study was carried out to isolate the bacteria and fungi from reproductive tract of sheep with a single and twin births during the postpartum period .60 ewes vaginal swabs were taken and cultured on nutrient agar, blood agar, MacConkey agar and Sabouraud Dextreose agar. The present study showed that %63.66 of vaginal swabs were bacterial positive. There was no significant difference in numbers of bacterial isolates as compared between twin and single birth. The rate of positive bacterial isolates from single birth ewes and twin birth were 60%, %66.66 recpectively. The result of bacterial isolates percentage during 1st, 2nd and 3rd weeks was %80, %60, %30 in respectively. A total of 7 different Microorganism were isolated from vaginal swabs are, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes and E. Coli were the most prevalent microorganism with an incidence of %31.66, %30, %18.33 respectively. Klebssiella pneumonia, Proteus marbillu , Pesudomonus areginosa and Actinomyces isolated in a percentage of %8.33, %5, %5.%1 respectively. In this study more than one bacterial and fungal isolate from one vaginal swab in which 10 fungal isolates from vaginal swabs of animals in this study at ratio %16.66 in which Candidia albicans was the most prevalence among the other fungal isolates at ratio of %11.66 then Aspergillus fumigatus %3.33 and Roudoduttla %1.66. | ||
