Abstract
The study was include 70 serum samples which collected from cross – breed cattle showing the signs of FMD in eight governorates middle and south of Iraq during September 2007 , these samples were examined by the special serological test FMD-3ABC bo Ov enzyme immunoassay to insure the occurrence of infection and by the serological test FMD ELISA KIT LIQUID PHASE BLOCKING IMMUNOASSAY to determine the causative serotype of infection.
The former test showed that 61.42% of examined animals were infected with the disease, 24.28 % were suspected while14.28% were not infected.
The second test on selected 20 infected samples showed that all examined sera were of the O serotype
