| Abstract : This study carried out at the poultry farm of Veterinary medicine college/Baghdad university during15/3-14/5 in the year 2011.Atotal of 300 broiler chicks(Loman strain) at the 4 week to 8 week old.These broilers submitted to heat stress condition along the Experiment prriod(30-33Cْ for 12 hours and 21-23Cْ for another 12 hours in the one day).This study aimed to valute the substitution of NaHCO3 instead of NaCl in different levels(0.25%,0.50%)and its effect on some productive and blood parameters in broilers exposed to heat stress.The broilers are divided into three groups:The Control (C) fed on basic ration contain 0.25% NaCl,The first treatment(T1) fed on basic ration contain 0.25% NaHCO3 instead of NaCl while the second treatment(T2) fed on basic ration contain0.50% NaHCO3 instead of NaCl.The results showed significant increasing(p<0.05) for (T2) treatment as compared with other treatments in body weight,weight gain,total feed consumption,fed convertion ratio&dressing percentage also there are significant decreasing(p<0.05) for (T1,T2)treatment in the PCV,Hb&RBC while there are no significant difference between treatments in WBC.This study proved that the using of NaHCO3 insteat of NaCl in the ration lead to improvement in production &hygiene of broilers exposed to heat stress. | ||
