Studing the Relationship between 5'-Nucleotidase Activity and Body Mass Index in Obese Individuals | ||

| Abstract | ||
| In this study, 38 lean individuals (normal weight) and 27 obese individuals (over weight) were chosen randomly to show the activity of 5'- nucleotidase in the sera of those individuals. Body mass index (BMI) was estimated to determine the lean and obese individuals. It was seen that the enzyme activity was increased in obese individuals particularly in those whose their BMI was higher than 30 kg/m2. Also , it was found that enzyme activity also increased in the obese individuals whose their age group was above 50 years old. | ||
