| Abstract | ||
| The study was conducted in the hospital of "Delivery and Children"/AL-Najaf governorate, (30) women of the child bearing age were followed up. The results were illustrated that, the injection with Depot medroxyprogesterone acetate contraceptive for (9months) has caused a significant decrease (p<0.01) in the concentrations of, total protein, albumin, cholesterol, triglycerides, low density lipoproteins and glucose. In contrast, the concentration of high density lipoproteins has been manifested a significant raise (p<0.01) was resulted from the using of Depot medroxyprogesterone acetate as an injectable contraceptive. | ||
