| Abstract | ||
| The impact of border towns in the relations between the neighboring countries through the importance of these cities and the reasons that led to the emergence and development, most of the border cities of the historic background and strategic importance, derived usually from falling on the modes of transport task, with the interference of the economic factor (business) and (transport) in the emergence and increasing importance, it can accommodate this important if they showed where other economic activities such as agriculture and mining in the case of the discovery of a mineral or energy sources task. This is important to become a double-edged sword, one hand may help to create good neighborly relations between the countries that lie then these cities, through cooperation in the exploitation of wealth and strategic location of the city, on the other hand has become the focus and ambition of one of the two countries at the expense of other, especially with the presence of military superiority and the desire for expansion, and to extend influence at the expense of neighboring countries, and the geographical important role in the emergence of differences over the border (and on the ownership of the border towns) and areas of political influence, has developed these differences to the wars and conflicts, but the interpretation of their causes in historical context purely deprive them of their motivation real and is linked to motivation declared the conflicting parties and lost its historical context beginning of each analysis, and the fact that geographical considerations and realities with major impact on the motives for the wars, interfere with political considerations in the competition for regional leadership or, in accordance with the size of the conflicting parties and ambitions. This study aims to shed light on the cities and regions of Iraq and its spatial distribution, within the border area east of Iraq, the confluence of the Iraqi-Iranian border to the north, and even the territory of Arabistan south, is important in a statement extent of the abuse the Iranian border and the territory of Iraq, which took legal form under the treaties and agreements signed during different historical periods, and is the research problem that the Iraqi-Iranian border were not in its current form, and the form in which it is today but the final outcome of the political positions of successive governments of both countries, and to indicate the dimensions of this topic has been divided into three sections, dealing The first border disputes and the nature of the Iranian border, while the second section stopped at the border problems and their impact on re-spatial distribution of border towns, and interested in the third section the role of treaties and agreements to install the border and in identifying the border cities | ||
