Isolation and Study of Proteineous precipitate and Active Proteineous Compounds from Capsicum frutescens (chilli) Fruit in the Normal and Diabetic Rabbits | ||

| Abstract | ||
| This study was included a cold proteinous and non-proteinous extracts of Capsicum frutescens plants. The study also comprised the isolation and study the proteinous compounds, separated by using the gel filtration technique which was isolated two compounds A (103968) Dalton and B (3553) Dalton. Compounds were administrated interaperitioneally. After one week from the treatment the results were indicated that the proteinous precipitate and (B) proteinous compound at the doses (150,75) body weight which were caused a significant decrease (P < 0.05) in serum glucose (glu), total cholesterol (TC), total lipid, low density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-C) levels and xanthine oxidase (XO) enzyme activity in liver, kidney and heart tissues, with an associated significant increase (P < 0.05) in serum high density lipoprotein-cholesterol (HDL-C) level and superoxide dismutase (SOD) enzyme activity in liver, kidney and heart tissues, in normal and alloxan-induced diabetic rabbits. Finally, we suggest that most of compounds isolated from Capsicum frutescens plant (especially compound B) have antidiabetic and antioxidative stress effect in normal and diabetic rabbits | ||
