| Abstract | ||
| A number of mono and dithio aromatic phthalimides (3 and 4) were synthesized by condensation of phthalimides (2) with diphosphorous pentasulphide (P2S5) in dry dioxane. Reaction of (3 and 4) with ethyl amine afforded imines (5 and 6) in good yield. The structure of all compounds were identified by physical, chemical and spectroscopic data. | ||
