| The field experiment was conducted to study the effect of Foam Sulfur application on phosphorous availability and uptake by corn. Plots of 25m² were planted with corn and fertilized with NPK fertilizer. Two treatment were condueted : The first treatment was Foam Sulfur at 2000 kg .S .ha¯¹ and control treatment without Foam Sulfur. Randomized complete block design with three replications was used. Samples were taken from treatments after (day,3days, week, month, 2months and after harvesting)of planting . ECe , pH, Soluble phosphorous, cations and anion in solution were determined. Thermodynamic parameters were used to calculate ion activity, ion pairs and phosphorous compounds by solubility diagram. Results show that Foam Sulfur application causes increase in soluble phosphorous in solution and appear DCP,DCPD,OCP, longer times compared with control treatment . Results also showed that significant increase (p=0.05) of available and uptake of phosphorous by 44%,35% respectively and dry weight and yield in foam sulfur treatment compare control treatment. |
