| Water a natural resource important and essential element in agricultural development to the scarcity of water led to the inevitable rationalization of water consumption in the agricultural sector, Iraq suffers from the problem of water and Diyala provinces that suffer from water scarcity, to address this problem, the departments of agricultural provision of systems of modern irrigation for farmers and make them aware of ways to rationalize the use of water and in this research, which targeted to identify the level of knowledge of farmers of ways to rationalize the irrigation water for this purpose were taken a sample of the research and the amount of (200) farmers were collecting information according to a questionnaire prepared for this purpose as it became clear from these results that the percentage (34%) of farmers with level of knowledge is low and (35%) of farmers with mid-level while the percentage of people with the level of knowledge of the high (31%) also targeted this research is to investigate the relationship level of knowledge of farmers of ways to rationalize the use of irrigation water and some properties of the peasants it was found from the results that there is a relationship significant between this level of knowledge with all of the educational level of farmers and their exposure to sources of information reaching the values of the correlation coefficient Olrtba (Spearman) (0.75), (0.73) respectively at the level of significance (0.01), while were not there is a relationship between this level morphological with their ownership for agricultural machinery, reaching values of the correlation coefficient Alrtba (0.14), as evidenced by the results That there are some problems that hinder the process of irrigation land by the peasants of them (lack of material resources, salinity of irrigation water, clogged irrigation canals, or lack of knowledge for the application of methods of rationalization of irrigation water, and recommended research the need to educate and guide the farmers with regard to how to rationalize the use of irrigation water and admitted to training courses and work to resolve their problems helps them optimize the use of water and conservation to increase agricultural production and agricultural development objectives. | ||
