Abstract
This study was conducted at the Sheep and Goat station State Board of Agriculture Researches Ministry of Agriculture. Twenty Damascus does were randomly divided into four equal group and allocated on concentrate diet supplemented with 6,10 and 14% Fenugreek seed (Fs) whereas the fourth group considered as a control group without any supplementation. Initial and final body weight of the dose as well as serum total protein, packed cell volume (PCV), red (RBC) and whit blood cells (WBC) were recorded. Weekly milk yield and milk composition (fat, protein, lactose, and milk density) were also investigated. Animals supplemented with 14% FS exhibited the higher milk yield (1950 g/d) as compared with the other groups 1,2 and 3 respectively 1300, 1450 and 1010 g/d at the end of the experiment. No significant difference were observed in fat percentage which were 3.064, 3.616, 3.928 and 4.346% for group 1,2,3 and control respectively. Control group exhibited the higher protein percentage as compeer with group 2 (3.330 vs 2.036%). Similarly, lactose was higher in control 5.070% in comparison with group 2 (4.380%). Milk density did not differ among the experimental group. Blood constituent also did not change among the experimental groups
