| Abstract | ||
| This study was conducted during the period from the begining of November 2003 to the end of May 2004 in Baquba general hospital to study a serological parameters of (140)patients with acute and chronic tonsillitis as well as , for (25)apparently healthy individuals as a control group . The immunological evaluation showed a significant increasing in the levels of IgM & IgG in patients with acute and chronic tonsillitis in comparison with healthy controls , in addition , there was a significant increases in the level of C3,C4 complemint components in patients with acute tonsillitis in comparison with healthy controls . On other hand , 50(71.4%) of patients showed a positive reaction to CRP test in comparison with those of controlled group that revealed all the negative result . The result of antistreptolysin O titer (ASOT) test revealed that the titers of these antibodies elevated in all patients with tonsillitis who infected with Streptococcus pyogenes. | ||
