Abstract
Field experiment was conducted at fields department of Horticulture at the college of Agriculture , University of Diyala during the winter season of 2007- 2008 . The soil was silty clay Loam , to study the effect of plant density and nitrogen levels on some properties of growth of (Petroselinum Sativum L) , nine treatment included three plant density (15 , 20 and 25 Kg seeds . ha- 1) with three nitrogen levels (200 , 250 and 300 Kg N . ha- 1) . The experiment was factorial arranged in RCBD with three replications . Results Showed : Asiginficant inerease in shoot % N were resulted from (15 Kg seeds . ha- 1) , There is no any effect significant increases of plant density in the other properties . The results Show that : significant increase in plant height , number of sprouts per plant , dry and fresh weight of root , dry and fresh weight of vegetative part , Nitrogen percentage and Vegetative yield were resulted from (300 Kg N . ha- 1) . The Interaction Showed that high yield of vegetative part (2.50 Kg . m- 2) was obtained by (15 Kg seeds . ha- 1 ) and high level of nitrogen (300 Kg N . ha- 1) , compared with low yield of vegetative part (1.59 Kg . m- 2) was obtained by (15 Kg seeds . ha- 1) . and (250 Kg N . ha- 1 ) .
