Salivary Acid and Alkaline Ribonuclease in the Different Types of Tumors | ||

| Anovel study has been carried on acid and alkaline RNase activities in saliva using yeast RNA as a substrate in normal healthy male and female control (n =22) and different types of tumors patients such as Multiple Myeloma ( n =20 ) , Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma ( n =18 ), Brest Cancer (n =20) and Leukemia ( n =16 ). There was a significant difference in salivary alkaline RNase acitivity between control and the another different tumors (p<0.001). Astatistically difference in salivary acid RNase activity was also found between control and Multiple Myloma ,Breast Cancer (p<0.001).The protein concentration shows large decrease in the all different tumors.These results suggest that the high RNase levels of tumors are due to to an excessive leakage of alkaline RNase into the blood streem from abnormal disorder and transport to the saliva. | ||
