| Abstract | ||
| Many investigations indicate that there were positive correlation between the incidence of Cerebro-vascular accident (CVA) and metabolic disorders. This study is to investigate the correlation between CVA patients and the alterations in RBC membrane by using osmotic fragility test of RBC. Osmotic fragility test of Red blood cells (RBCs) of 56 (CVA) patients was done and compare to control. The curve of the test of (CVA) patients shifted to the left with lower values of 50% hemolysis, meanwhile, the packed cell volume (PCV) values of (CVA) patients were significantly lower than control.
