| Abstract | ||
| Lipopolysaccharide (L.P.S.) is isolated from wall of species Acinetobacter lowffii and Acinetobacter baumannii and their antigenic characteristics were detected by estimating the level of antibodies in rabbit serum, using (Indirect Haemagglutination Test IHAT ). Results showed no difference in antibodies levels against (L.P.S.) between the two types of bacteria; the two species gave agglutination up to (1:40) serum dilution. This study also compared between Enzyme linked Immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and Indirect Haemagglutination test for detection and quantitative estimation of antibodies against (L.P.S.) of the two species of Acinetobacter. The comparison showed that ELISA is the best for these purposes outlined above | ||
