| Abstract | ||
| Streptococcus pneumoniae (35.29%), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (23.52%) and Klebsiella pneumoniae (21.56%) cryptic infections were noted among pneumonic patients. The cell wall defective bacteria (CWDB) were at most sensitive to common used antibiotics. However emergence of multiple resistances of up to nine drugs were noted among CWDB. By this cryptic infection can be defined as persistent, recurrent, associated with CWDB & some associated with multiple resistance. | ||
