| Abstract | ||
| This study was conducted on 50 cattle affected with inflammation of the urinary tract. Urine samples were collected from cattle that showed several lesions following their slaughter. Forty two bacterial isolates were found with a percent of isolation of 84% Escherichia coli constituted 42% of the isolates, followed by Actinobacter lwoffii and Aeromonas hydrophila (12% for each), Arcanobacterium pyogenes and Klebsiella pneumoniae (6% for each), and Lactobacillus spp. (2%). Results of the sensitivity test showed that the isolated bacteria were sensitive to chloramphenicol and highly resistance to penicillin G. The isolates showed variable sensitivity to the other antibiotics. | ||
