| The study of the director of the underage orphans' wealth in the records of the Sharia Court during the Ottoman period in Mosul is regarded as one of the major sources for studying the social history of that period. The Sharia Court is viewed as the legal and specialized authority which is concerned with the orphans' issues, besides investing and keeping an eye on their wealth. In order to clarify the responsibility of the director of the orphans' wealth, the research tackles several cases depending on the official documents in the Sharia Court's records. | ||
