| The Seasonal & Spatial Relationship between the Soil Wind Erosion and The Recurrence of Dusty Air Phenomena in Basrah and Thi Qar Governorates . Prof. Abdulla .S. Al- Maliki (Ph.D.) Summary Soil wind erosion and the recurrence of dusty air phenomena are considered one of the dangerous environmental problem to which vast areas of the world are exposed , particularly the arid and semi-arid lands including the study area. The research aims at focusing the light on the seasonal and spatial distribution of both the quantity of particles moved from the soil surface in Basrah and Thi- Qar governorates , and the recurrence of the dusty air phenomena, along with determining the seasonal and spatial relations between the variables to give an indicator about the sources of those phenomena . The research has shown that there is concurrence between the seasonal and spatial of the above – mentioned variables . There is a direct proportion relationship between these variables amounting to 0.92 in Basrah and a contributive percentage of 84% , while in Thi- Qar amounting to 0.94 and a contributive percentage 88% . This points to the fact that most of the sources of these phenomena are attributable to the lands of those two governorates which is subject to wind erosion . | ||
