| Continued Find the position of Portugal from the Second World War, 1939-1945 reviewed the situation of Portugal and its policy towards European issues important to the outbreak of World War II ,in September 1939, to be paved to delve into the reasons for the outbreak of World War II, the Declaration of Portugal's neutrality which until July 1940, then went on to expansion of operations war and its impact on the Portuguese colonies of September 1940 - February 1942, revealing the effects of war on the islands of the Azores in the Atlantic Ocean and the colony of East Timor in the Pacific, and the search as well as facilities Portuguese granted to Britain and the United States in the Azores Islands following the progress of their troops in the war, has allowed Portugal for the use of those two islands in the war. Referring also to the pressures experienced by Portugal to prevent the export of raw wolfram to Germany during the period from January to June 1944.
