The study carried out in corn field at Khan Beni-Saad/Diala. Agricultural helicopter type Mi-2 of Agricultural Aviation Department /general commission protection plant was used in spraying two different viscosity pesticides , namely, Cidial (92 ULV) of high viscosity and Sumithion( 100 ULV) of low viscosity using micronair Au5000 atomizer at two speeds , the first speed 8000 rpm at fan blade angle 35 degree . The second speed 4500 rpm at fan blade angle 55 degree. Oil sensitive papers were distributed at two heights on plant leaves (upper and lower) for studying the effect of leaf place on spraying parameters Coverage , VMD , NMD , KD , D30 ). Moreover, oil sensitive tap was set in the middle of the field to measure the practical width of spray . For accounting the change in the Volume Median Diameter (VMD) along drift line, oil sensitive papers were set outside the field at different distances (10 , 20 , 30 , 40 , 50 ) m . The experiment was repeated three times.
The study concluded the following:
1- Using Cidial pesticides at first speed giving good coverage to upper and lower leaves , coverage rates were reach to 114 and 19.083 droplet / cm2, also giving the best distribution to the spray droplets and the values of KD on upper and lower leaves 2.243 and 1.083. Using Cidial pesticides at first speed chemical material D 30 on the upper leaf when Cidial was used at the first and the second speed , where D 30 values reach to 62.45 and 88.547 micron .
2- Little drift happened by using Cidial pesticides. |
