| Abstract | ||
| A model was developed to predict gypsum solubility by considers the effecte of ionc strength . A main moel describe a mixing process between solid and solution phase. Two calculation options are available to describe gypsium solubility process. Program No 1 predicts EC in the soil solution with no chemical interaction with soil . Option designated program No 2 considers ion strength effect on gypsum solubility . The model were validated by comparing experimental and predicted values of soil solution composition (EC) . Tow soils of varying texture were each treated with different salty solution which includes ( CaCl2 , MgCl2, CaCl2 +MgCl2 + NaCl+ MgSO4 and H2O ) to give four different treatment . The study includes distill the filtrate continuously for 16 times at one day of every tim with using above treatments .The laboratory experiments employing the EC in the filtrate . There were big differences between the results represented by practical EC and the calculated by using the pattern number (1) which ranging from 20 %to 30% when using Tekriet and Al-Dwor soils respecters, while here is good relation between the practieal and the calculated results when using the program number (2) and there highly correlation (r = 0.91 ) as the average for all treatments between the measured and the calculated data. And the differences are not exceed 10% . | ||
