| Abstract | ||
| The results of this study indicate that the natural distribution of (ABO) blood groups and rhesus factor (RH) percentages among Najaf population for both sexes were: A = 29.28%, B = 27.33%, O = 35.23%, AB = 8.14, Rh(+) = 91.06% and Rh(-) = 8.93%. These percentages represent the control group in this study. In asthmatic patients the results indicate that there are significant increase (P<0.05) in percentages of blood group (O) in comparison with other blood groups with no significant differences among other blood groups (A, B, and AB). Also this study shows that in both male and females there was a significant increase in number of asthmatic patients in age groups (40-49) years and (50-59) years. In comparison with other age groups. Also there was significant increase in number of asthmatic patients of both sex around (BMI) of 1805 kg.m-2–24.9 kg.m-2), (25 kg.m-2– 29.9 kg.m-2) and BMI ≤ 30 kg.m-2 and also BSA around (1.8 m2–1.99 m2) and (1.6 m2 – 1.79 m2). | ||
