| Abstract | ||
| A new analytical function to start the synthesis procedure has been introduced in the present work. This function is applied to both symmetric and asymmetric magnetic lenses. The proposed expression has been carried out to approximate the axial magnetic field strength and hence its corresponding magnetic flux density distribution. Thereby, several optimization parameters arise by means of the suggested function. The influence of each of these parameters on thc objective focar properties and the reconstructed polepiece profile has been investigated. The results have shown a new approach concerning the positions from which the bore diameter and air gap should be measured. | ||
