| Abstract | ||
| In this work, 2-amino-5-mercapto-1,3,4-thiodizole (1) were prepared from thiosemicarbazide and csz in the presence of anhydrous NazCOr. The Schiff base (2) was prepared from the corresponding l,S,4.thiadiazole derivatives (1) compound (3) was obtained from reaction of compound (2) with hydrazine hydrate and then converted into compounds (4,5) by refluxing of compound (3) with acetyle acetone and Ethyle aceto acetate) reflexing in boiling abs-ethanol for 7h, treatment of the Schiff base (4,5) with formaldehyde in the presence of NaoH afforded the corresponding methylolic resins (6,7) which upon treating with methanol or butanol in the presence of con. HzSO+ gave etheric resins (8,10) and (9,11) respectively' The epoxy resins (12,14) and (13,15) were prePared respectively from the corresponding etheric resins (8-11) and eipy chlorohydrin in presence of NaoH. Finally reaction of appropriate epoxy resin (14,15) with morpholine leads to ring open giving resin with unstitched ring (16,17) respectively. | ||
