Abstract
The sirnulatiol of the Cl'rerepkov light lateral distributiol
function (LDF) in Extensive Air Showers (EAS) was performed
with the COITSIKA code at the energies 1PeV, 2PeV and 5PeV
for configuration of the Yakutsk EAS array. The comparison of
the calculated Cherenkov liglrt LDFs with that measured with
the Yakutsk array has shorvn an opportutrity of prirnary parlicle
identification and definition of its energy around the "knee".
