| Abstract | ||
| This study was conducted in the barn which belongs to the department of animal production / Technical Institute of Shatra , at the period ( 10/11/2010 – 23/1/2011 ) . Six local male goats were used in the study , the range of their age is between 5 – 6 monthes , these goats which be divided in to two groups , any one of these groups include 3 animals , and were fed by 4% of living weight as an individual feeding . The ration contained 2% of Ginger roots which be added to one group when the ration which be fed to another group was empty from it . To realize the effect of the Ginger roots on the blood properties (Haemoglobin concentration , Bloods cholesterol , WBC and PCV ) and some biochemical properties ( Glucose , Total protein and Urea ) The results showed significant (P < 0.05) increase in WBC of goats which be fed by Ginger root compaired with the control animals .This may lead to enhancement of immunity of goats to resist many infection disease and helth maintenance . No significant differences between treatments and control animals in haemoglohin and PCV. Treated animals with Ginger showed significant ( P<0.05) reduction in blood glucose during P111. So there is a significant reduction in the blood cholesterol during P1 and P111 while there is reduction in P11 put it is non significant in addition to there were no significant (P<0.05) differences in blood protein and urea levels between treated and un treated goats . | ||
