| Abstract | ||
| The aim of this paper is the study of the effect of K2Cr2O7 impurity (0.1 mol) concentration on the electrical properties and conduction mechanism of ploy (P-Aminobenzaldehyde) terminated by phenylene Diamine. The measurements of the electrical conductivity and activation energy of the polymer with impurity through the measuring the (I-V) characteristic in the temperature range (298-348) K .the value of the electrical conductivity vary between (1.76×10-15-4.96 ×10-14) S.cm-1 and two activation energy were detected the first was 0.77 eV at the range (298-318) K and the second was 0.27 eV at the range (318-348) K. The study shows that adding K2Cr2O7 as additive to the polymer lead to alter the conduction mechanism to ionic conduction mechanism at low temperature (298-318) K ,while the hopping mechanism investigated at high temperature (318-348) K. | ||
