| Black Seed Islamic Heritage and Scientific Facts Dr. Shahrazad Mohammed Jaafar Al-Shadeedi Arab Scientific Heritage Revival Center University of Baghdad Abstract Our prophet Mohammed (GPUH), Imams (Peace Upon Them) and Arabic and Islamic heritage books leaved us a great honorable talks about black seed or al-baraka seed, black seed curing digestive system, reducing stomach pain and intestine gasing, also black seed have disinfecting effects. Black seed used as appetizer in pies, mixing black seed with black honey for sweetening in the morning for good health, stimulant, sputum ejection, defense against cold and improving immunity against cold and asthma. Black seed still used in modern medicine for reducing growth of pathogenic microorganisms and in food preservation. | ||
