| Abstract | ||
| The research is concluded by a number of results arrived at after studying the occurrence of the two lexical items laughter and weeping. Arabic vocabulary represents the field of study for every linguist and about which the studies of researchers revolve. The present study focuses on use of these two words in the language and in the Quranic text which adds to them vividness and uniqueness through meanings that fascinate and dazzle the mind. Thereupon, the present study sheds the light on their semantic fields in the Arabic language and the Holy Quran where it appears very clearly to the reader the importance of the context. The semantic connotation of the lexical item (word) is connected with the context (structure). The word is found to develop new meanings according to the contexts, an observation that reveals the uniqueness of not only the word but even the letter in the Quranic Text. | ||
