Abstract
Motivation to work is one of the variables that affect the performance of extension agents and scientific researchers toward their work within the agricultural developmental programmers in Iraq .So, the present research mainly aims at examining the motivation level of extension agents and scientific researchers towards working in the developmental programmers in Iraq.
The study population comprises of all the extension agents and scientific researchers who work within the following programmers, The national programmer for developing production rice in the rice region, The national programmer for developing tomato production in Iraq and The national programmer for developing cotton in Iraq.
Their number amounts to 102:(45) extension agents and (57) researchers. To collect information, the researcher constructed a scale for motivation to work .it consists of 46 items and includes the economic, social, psychological and vocational areas.
Several statistical tools have been used in data analysis such as standard score, t-test, Person correlation formula, and multiple regression formula.
The research has arrived at the following results ,The motivation level of both extension agents and scientific researchers is average in general and tends to relative rice. There is also a significant positive relationship between the motivation level of both extension agents and scientific researchers and each of the following variables: number of employment years, effort appraisal, work nature, social status, administrative supervision approach, administrative policy and physical work conditions. However, the number of employment years variable is not statistically significant for extension agents at 0.05 level of significance, and the social status variable is not statistically significant for scientific researchers. |
