| Abstract | ||
| There are psychological reasons for the abundance of verbs in 'Remove Scum from your Heart, and there are reasons for the phonetic varieties of these verbs. Omission is the mostly common phenomenon in the poem. The non-dual syllable, its top, the rising dual, its half, the falling dual half and the (')sound have been omitted from the verbs. Other phenomena are the transforming of the long vowels in short vowels and vice versa, succession of vowel points in spite of their disagreement, succession of consonants, shifting of the vowel point from the second letter of the verb to the first, separating the assimilating sounds, and uniting the long vowels with the short vowels to produce long open syllable. There are ,of course, phonetic reasons for these phenomena, which will be known through reading the study. | ||
