| Abstract | ||
| The study aims at knowing the state of the professional competence of the librarians from their own point of view and from the employees'. It is also about the importance of this competence to the librarians, again from their own point of view and from the employees'. The study is important because it deals with this vital issue that is the supervision on the libraries of the university, which should satisfy the needs of learners. In order to perform his duty well, the librarian should have a good competence. The documental and the surveying methods are used in the study. The results of the study are: 1. Most of the librarians have no competence in their office work. 2. Most of the sessions in which the librarians share inside and outside Iraq are not useful. The study recommends that only specialized people should take charge of the post of a librarian. | ||
