| Abstract: This study was conducted in the laboratory of plant cell and tissues laboratory of the Horticulture and Landscape department in the college of agriculture in KufaUniversity during 2010 – 2011 , to investigate the effect of IAA and NAA at three on 0,1,2,and 3 mg/l concentration in vitro rooting of (Citrus medica ) microcuttings ofcitron .The results showed that supplemented rooting medium with 1 mg/l NAA or 2 mg/l IAA gave The highest rooting percentage (100%) and root number (5.4 and 5.7 root/shoot) respectively compared to control treatment ( 20 % and 1.7 root/shoot ) respectively. In addition , shoots cultured in rooting medium supplemented with 0.5 mg/l IAA or 2 mg/l NAA gave The longest root (37 and 28mm) respectively compared to 8 mm for control. Also, 0.5 mg/l IAA or 2 mg/l NAA in medium showed best result in plantlets height which gave (39 and 40 mm) respectively compared to 23 mm for control. | ||
