| This study was conducted at native chicken breeding station. A total of 130 dams and 13 sire cocks of Iraqi local brown chickens line were used as parents stock. The objective of the present study was to determinate the effect of body weight a sexual maturity selections on some economic traits. This study indicated high significant generation effects. (P<0.01) on all the traits which was studied. Body weight means at sexual maturity was 1383g and it realized heritability was 0.42 means and theirs heritabilities which were calculated from Sire, Dam and combine components, where respectively as follows: Means of sexual maturity (155.5 day), The h2 were (0.19, 0.26 and 0.22), first egg laid weight (35.63g),The h2 were (0.27, 0.33 and 0.30), Egg weight (45.87g), The h2 were (0.29, 0.38 and 0.33), and egg mass (2083.75g), The h2 were (0.24, 0.46 and 0.44). there were selection attendant response effects (9 day for sexual maturity age), (4.76g for first egg), (292g for egg weight), (6.43 egg for egg production), and (427.30g for egg mass) the moderate of heritabilities estimation indicated that improve these traits can be able by selection. |
