| This experiment was conducted in the animal production field belong to the station of Agriculture Research (Ministry of Agriculture), in order to study the ability of different treatments to suppress the deteriorates effects of aflatoxicosis (1800 ppb) on broiler performance, 750 three weeks old broiler chicks (Fawbro) were used and randomly distributed into 5 treatments (3 replicates/ treatment, 50 chicks per rep.), the ration in the control treatment (first treatment) did not have aflatoxin in corn, the chicks in second treatment were fed on ration contain contaminated untreated corn with aflatoxin (1800 ppb), the contaminated corn in the third treatment were exposured to sun light for 48 hours and then mixed with the ration. Trade product of mold killer was added at rate of 0.5 kg per ton of the corn contaminated ration in fourth treatment. Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast was added to corn contaminated ration in the rate of 5 gm per kg of ration (0.5%) in the fifth treatment. The aflatoxin effects on broiler performance were reduced by adding S. cerevisiae to ration in the fourth treatment, which is represented by the significant increase in final body weight of male and female, accumulated (3-7 wks) weight gain, accumulated feed consumption, and accumulated feed conversion ratio, and this was finally leads to significant improvement in production index and economic figure compared with the birds which gave aflatoxin contaminated ration (without treatment), and at rate higher than other treatments (sun light and mold killer product treatments), the results of this study reveals that using S. cerevisiae yeast were best of treatments to suppress the deteriorates effects of aflatoxicosis on broiler performance. | ||
