| This study has been done to investigate the effects with different doses of Gamma radiation on the chick embryos, using the cytogenetic analysis of blood cells :) Mitotic Index) MI(, Cell Cycle Progression )CCP( ,Sister Chromatid Exchange) SCE( after labeling DNA ,This experiment included 420 fertile eggs exposed after and before incubation to different doses of gamma radiation (0.05,0.1,1 and 4) Gray, in different tests periods which were 3,7,5,10 and 15 days. The value of the mitotic index during 3 days test period were 1.3%,1.5%,1.2%,0.8% for radiation doses (0.05,0.1,1,4) Gray, there were significant decline in mitotic index (P<0.05) (1.1%,1.0%,0.91%,0.87%) for radiation doses (0.05,0.1,1and 4) Gray respectively in comparison with negative control group (2.1%) and positive control group (1.2%),There was significant decreases (p<0.05) in replicate index for the positive control comparison with negative control ,There was no significance in SCE / cell after exposure to different doses of radiation in period 3 days, while in 7 days there was significant differences for doses (0.1 , 1, 4) Gray. While exposed to a single radiation dosage of (1 Gray) after different incubation periods (3, 5, 7, 10, 15) days, The results of cell division (MI) did show significant decline (p<0.05) in its value for test period 15 days (0.95%) in comparison with the negative control group and positive control group, There were significant decline (p<0.05) for cell division coefficient for advanced ages in comparison with negative control group and positive group ,The sister chromatid exchange value was raised significantly (p<0.05) in periods 5, 7, 10, 15 days which were (0.89, 0.98, 1.1, 2.1) SCE / cell, progressively in comparison with negative control group (0.86) exchange/cell and positive control group (2.2), and when they exposed to two dosages of gamma radiation (1,4) Gray before incubating them and for different periods(3,5,7,10) day,The results showed significant differences for MI value (p<0.05) and for the all incubation periods (1.5%-0.92%) for MI for dosage 1 Gray, but there was for the dosage 4 Gray decline in incubation period of 3 and 5 days, and there was no significant differences for the two periods (7,10) days in comparison with negative control group and the positive control group,The cellular duplication coefficient showed significant effect (P<0.05), this coefficient did decline in dosage 1 Gray. It was (1.84%) for incubation period 3 days, It should highly decline in this period in comparison with the negative control group and positive control group. The dosage 4 Gray, it showed a high significant difference especially in period 10 day and there was no significant in SCE in (3,5,7) days After exposure, but in age (10) days there was significant (P<0.05) (1.9) SCE/ cell, comparison with control group (1.5) SCE/ cell, The exposure to two radiation dosages before incubation did lead to rise the sister chromatid exchange value in the two dosages 1,4 Gray, while There was a decline in the percent of hatch .There was a decline in the weight of hatch out chicks which exposed as embryos to these radiation doses . |
