Abstract
In this work a single slope solar still has been constructed and it’s performance has been evaluated under different atmospheric circumstances of Basra city ( Iraq) . Worked first with non-painted basin gives thermal efficiency up to 29% while when its basin was coated with black paint, its efficiency increase to 43.5% .
