This study was conducted in the poultry from the Gereral Directorate of Agriculture in Abu-Graib from October,10,2010 Through Decmber ,15,2010.The objective of this study was to compare the addition of different levels of Garlic powder,Black seed powder and Avilamycin as growth promoters in broiler rations and their effects on production characteristics of broilers. Tow hundred and eighty one-day old (Ross-308) broiler chicks were used. The birds randomly distributed into seven treatments with two replicates per treatment and each replicate contained 20 chicks.
The following treatments contained different levels of the above mentioned powder and the antibiotic in broiler starter and grower rations:T1(Control) ,T2(0.7% Garlic powder),T3(1% Garlic powder),T4(0.7% Black seed powder),T5(1% Black seed powder), T6 (0.005% Avilamycin), T7(0.01%Avilamycin).
The results revealed the following :significant improvement in body weight and body weight gain of birds in treatments (T3, T4 and T7) . A significant decrease in the cumulative feed consumed in treatments(T2,T3,T4 and T6) and a significant improve in feed efficiency of birds of T3 From 1-42day of age. These results indicate the Garlic or Black seed powder can be replaced by Avilamycin in broiler rations . |
