Effect of Different Levels of Humic Fertilizer and Spraying Magnesium on Characteristics of Growth in Pepper Plants Cultivated in Plastic houses | ||

| Abstract An experiment was conducted in plastic house located at the College of Agriculture – University of Kufa during the growing season 2011 the soil mixed alluvial to show the effect of adding different levels of humic fertilizer and magnesium on growth and other vegetative characteristics of pepper plant Capsicum annuumL.; California wonder variety (which is considered medium size fruit). The experiment comprised sixteen treatments compatibility between four different levels of humic fertilizers and four concentration levels of magnesium which was sprayed in three intervals, in four replications.Complete Randomized Block Design (C.R.B.D.) was used in thisexperiment, andstudied the effect of this factor to some characteristics of peppers such as height plant, number of fruits in plant, plant product, fruit weight, TSS, leafcontent of the chlorophyll and the percent of dry matter in fruit. Results showed that use of humic fertilizer and spraying magnesium leads to an increase in all properties wasstudied. And the integration between two fertilizers leads to increase inplant height, number of fruits, product plant, fruit weight, TSS, leafcontent of chlorophyll and the percent of dry matter in the fruit significantly by (80 and 78.33 cm, 0.20 fruit / plant, 0.720 and 0.750 kg / plant 0.61 g, 9.37%, 32.33 mg / 100 g weight fresh and 0.192 weight%), respectively. While the value ofcomparisontreatments was (56.33 cm,18 fruit / plant, 0.660 and 0.710. kg / plant 0.52 g, 8.20 %, 16.96 mg / 100g weight fresh and 0.166 weight%), respectively.
